He had already secured the gold medal sitting in first position before his final run. His current score was an amazing 97 of 100. Still, Shaun was determined to once again step it up a notch and show the world that the gold medal was fully earned.
Shaun dropped in, went bigger than ever, did tricks do one had ever done before, and completed a run that will go into the history books. It was a long wait at the bottom of the pipe while the judges were discussing the score. The audience sensed something special had just happened. Then came the score. A perfect run – 100 points. That has never happened before in X Games history!
