New Community Jobs

The contributor competition is still going on. At the moment it is a tight battle between a number of contestants. But there is still plenty of time for people to join.

The Community Job Board is good place to look if you want to earn an extra bit of points. Some of the jobs are currently in progress. This means someone has asked to complete it, but is not done yet. So, it might mean we open these jobs up for others to complete if they are not done in time.

Latest fixes and additions 2.01

Today we have completed the latest release of MySnowparks since the launch last week. If the launch was version 2 of MySnowparks, you can call this version 2.01.
We’ve fixed a lot of minor details and even added a few improvements. The launch was just the beginning, now we intend to continuously improve and iterate in order to make MySnowparks even more useful for all of you.
We are always open to hear your input for coming releases. If you have any ideas or suggestions don’t hesitate to get in touch.

  • Park map edit button moved from park page to park map page
  • Site optimized for Internet Explorer
  • Frontpage search form fixed
  • Sorting of parks based on rating fixed

Moving over old user accounts

We are in the process of moving over all the old user accounts to the new MySnowparks. If you had a login before, we will make it possible to use that on the new site soon.

In the meantime you’re very welcome to setup a new profile. It only takes a few minutes and will quickly get you going on the new MySnowpark.

Launch of the new MySnowparks.com

Today the new MySnowparks.com has been fully launched! We have been running in beta mode for a while and kept the old site up, but now we’re finally ready to present to you the new full site.

We’ve said it before – this is such a huge project. We have no doubt in our minds that it will work out and that the new site will be a huge success.

We really look forward to see you all on the new site. Go ahead and have a look around!

We need YOU!

We have spent a year working hard on the new MySnowparks website that we’re about to release. Now we get to the important next step – getting YOU to provide some of the content. You’re the expert!

MySnowparks is a fully user-contributed database of resorts and their snowparks. So ideally we will have local experts from all resorts around the world participating on the site and sharing their photos and up-to-date information about the resort and parks.

New beta site coming up

You might not hear a lot from us, but I can ensure you we are working hard behind the scenes. We have been running an alpha version of the new MySnowparks site for a little while. Now we have gotten rid of the worst bugs and are missing out on sleep in order to get the final bits to come together.

A new beginning for MySnowparks

It all started back in 2007. I, a passionate freeskier from one of the flattest countries in the world, was frustrated with the lack of available information about the snowparks I was planning to visit during my winter season. There was no consistency in how the resorts presented the parks on their websites. The photos – if any – were outdated. I was left with basing my travel plans on rumors of where the park conditions were good.
